Unlocking the definition

          A. Print Media
                  For me, this is any type of media that is printed. This primarily includes newspapers, magazines, and the like.
          B. Broadcast Media
                    This is the type of media concerned with sharing and broadcasting information, by audio, visual, or audio-visual.
          C. New Media
                    New media comprises of any media that belongs in the digital age of the modern world.
          D. Media Convergence
                    From the word converge, I think this is defined as the event in which all the types of media meet in the middle, or has a connection.

SYNTHESIS

          Describe how new technologies have led to the convergence of traditional and new media.

                    I think because of the fast-changing world, new technologies has made the convergence easy. It has led to more reliable and comfortable codependency of traditional and new media. 

         

           Explain how media convergence creates new opportunities for interaction.

                    Media convergence creates new opportunities for interaction in a way that people can use different types of media to communicate with other people. Communication is not confined to just letters and papers because now, multiple media types can be alternately used in case another type is unavailable.

          

          Describe the use of one or two forms of new media to share knowledge and information on a current issue in society.

                     In today's society, fake news is one of the most notable issues. With the emergence of new media, anything can be posted online. Anyone can also write anything, even if it is not necessarily correct. Using new media to share knowledge and information should be done with utmost discipline and responsibility so as not to share incorrect and not factual news or information to the general public.

                    

         Explain how a person could be portrayed in public in the age of media convergence

                    Because of the co-existence and interconnectedness of media, a person may be viewed either wrongly or not. New media has the capability to edit out some information, in pictures and videos, and this may serve as an advantage or a disadvantage to some people. Because someone's life is projected in the public, different people will have different opinions and views regarding the person and sometimes, he or she maybe judged or praised without others knowing what really happened.
